Turin: a workshop on Cultural Heritage and digital technologies to promote diffused Heritage

The Italgas Heritage Lab, a partner of the project, from last two years is hosting students from ISIA Urbino for a one-week workshop featuring labs focused on Cultural Heritage.

The Istituto Superiore per le Industrie Artistiche di Urbino (ISIA) is a state institute of higher education specializing in design and visual communication. The workshop, organized by Professor Guendalina Damone, aims to enhance the students’ skills in digital photography applied to cultural heritage.

The workshop aimed to explore the use of photography in the conservation of documentary cultural heritage and archives.

As part of the workshop, a session with Carlo Bruno, project manager of the Heritage Lab’s operational line, focused on the relationship between archival description and web valorization.

The case study examined was the Avalanche project, addressing the need to virtually reconstruct a dispersed and fragmented heritage. The session focused on resource research, their description, and the planning of web publication.
