Three study days in Thessaloniki

The three final study days in Greece have come to a close, perfectly organized thanks to the warm and attentive collaboration of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). 🇬🇷

Many contributions from European research were brought together around the chosen theme, “Voices of Liberation.” The first day provided an opportunity for Giovanni Vitali and Maria Dermentzi to present the research that has accompanied the project over the past two years: the Italian–Greek women’s lexicon related to the Second World War.

The 22nd and 23rd were two very intense days of study and discussion, further enriched by the collaboration with the Thessaloniki Film Festival, which organized a special evening with the screenwriter of the film The Last Note,.

The event marked a farewell to the project and to two intense and emotional years, but it is not a farewell to the work accomplished. This is not an ending, but the beginning of a collaboration that will remain active and open, continuing discussion and research on the effects of the war in the Mediterranean, maintaining attention on latent phenomena of discrimination, and promoting peace, inclusion, and the values at the foundation of the European community.
