The annual workshop “Digital Emergence” was held on October 17 as part of the Erasmus Day organized by the Besta Gloriosi Institute in Battipaglia.
The day opened with institutional greetings from Carmen Miranda, Principal of Besta Gloriosi, and representatives of the Municipality of Battipaglia.
The event took place in the school’s Aula Magna, in front of an audience of final-year students. The first presentation, streamed from Paris, focused on “Digital Technologies for Cultural Heritage: A European Opportunity” and was delivered by Professor Giovanni Pietro Vitali from the University of Versailles.
This was followed by a session on “Companies and Training Opportunities” for young people, led by Katya Corvino, head of Italgas Heritage Lab, in collaboration with Matteo Allasia, also from Heritage Lab.

The intense two-hour event concluded with Carlo Bruno, President of Mubat, who shared experiences from European project design and presented the digital museum of Operation Avalanche, developed within the TOCC-PNRR projects.
In particular, the presentation focused on the Exhibitions section, which aims to provide structured educational and outreach materials. The virtual realization of the exhibition “Lands of Avalanche: On the Way of Democracy” was presented.
The conference then continued with the presentation of the Occupied Italy project, a scientific journal recognized by ANVUR (the Italian National Agency for the Evaluation of Universities and Research Institutes), which has now reached its fifth edition.
The workshop also featured testimonies from young students, including a live contribution from Valencia.
The activities will continue on Monday with workshops organized by Mubat on photographic acquisition of documents and objects.
