Giorgos Antoniou participated in the webinar entitled “Antisemitism and Holocaust Distortion Before and After October 7th in Greece,” also presenting the international experience developed within the framework of the Avalanche Project.
The webinar focused on the analysis of data collected in the period following the attacks of 7 October, highlighting how narratives of antisemitism in Greece have evolved. The keynote speaker was Giorgos Antoniou, Assistant Professor of Jewish Studies at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH).
The event presented the results of monitoring activities on Holocaust distortion and included a discussion on the impact of developments in the Middle East on public and academic perceptions in Greece.
This webinar represents the second edition of an initiative first held in May 2025 and organized through the platform of European Network on Monitoring Antisemitism (ENMA), a European network that monitors Holocaust distortion across several European countries, including Greece.
